Microphone & Public Speaking
I used to have a very pronounced lisp and was terrified of public speaking. I know what it is to want to disappear instead of make a sound. I really want everyone to have more comfort in speaking up. Especially the quietest of us because when we do feel comfortable? We have lots to say. In this workshop we will talk about our fears and challenge ourselves to push past them. I will show you how to use a microphone stand and have you try it as well. We will learn how to speak into a microphone, how to capture and audience, how to read and perform at the same time. I have lots of tips for shaking legs, hands, voices, and that little voice in your head that says "you can't do this".
I want to empower you with that moment when you adjusted a mic like a pro, learned a way to incorporate your nervousness, and boldly spoke through an amplified speaker, and even learned how to master the dreaded microphone feedback!
